International Women’s Day is often about celebrating achievements, leadership and progress. But behind every job title is a person with their own story, interests and path that led them there.
So this year, we’d like you to meet just a few of the amazing women behind PAYSTRAX and Nochex. Each of them comes from a different background, country or department, but they all bring something unique to the team every day and help make our company what it is today.
We asked them one simple question: Who are you? Here’s what they shared.
Who is Aida?
Some journeys are shaped not only by career choices, but by curiosity, inspiration, and the many roles we carry in life.
Professionally, I work as a Salesforce Administrator at PAYSTRAX. I enjoy turning complex processes into clear, efficient solutions that make everyday work easier. Technology may be logical and structured, but for me it’s also about understanding people: their needs, their challenges, and how the right tools can help (empower) them do their best work.
Beyond my professional life, I’m a mother to two amazing little women, a wife, and a daughter. These roles constantly remind me that growth, resilience, and kindness are built in small, ordinary moments.
I find inspiration from places and stories that celebrate beauty and depth: from Italy’s timeless atmosphere, to thoughtfully designed interiors, to the cinematic worlds of genius Paolo Sorrentino. They remind me that elegance lives in the details, and that perspective can turn the ordinary into something memorable.
Who is Charlotte?
I would say people describe me as kind, loving and arguably funny – depends on the joke!
I enjoy my job as an account manager in Nochex, seeing businesses grow with our support and creating 1-1 relationships with our merchants. At home, I have a small army of animals including a dog, lizards, geckos and our newest addition is some tortoises which our son adores. I’ve kept animals since being young and as I got older I found my love in reptiles as they can be sometimes misunderstood.
Some of my other hobbies include baking, decorating and being outdoors.
Who is Dovilė?
I’ve been part of the Paystrax Finance team for four years. In my role, my main responsibility is to ensure that the company’s finances remain transparent, properly verified, and supported by well-substantiated figures.
Outside of work, my life recently moved to the beautiful Lithuanian countryside, where I’m a mom of three, along with one dog and a fishy 😊. I enjoy balancing family life with regular visits to the PAYSTRAX office in Vilnius. Early morning workouts help start the day right, and whenever possible, I like to finish the day with a game of padel.
Who is Thuridur?
Who am I? I’m a 42 year young mother of four and my family is at the center of everything I do. My youngest child is living with a rare disease and raising a child with a rare disease has taught me so much regarding the outlook on life and a deep appreciation for the small victories. I have not yet figured out what I want to do when I grow up, as the possibilities are endless and I love to explore new options.
I’m outdoorsy and like to explore, whether it’s a simple walk in nature or exploring new places while traveling. Audiobooks are one of my best friends — they turn ordinary moments into little adventures and let your imagination take you to other worlds.
Growing up I went to elementary school in Iceland, USA and Germany and I speak three languages, understand a few other languages and want to learn more. I am a big musical fan and love singing along to the music, but don’t be fooled, I can’t hold a note. I’m very sentimental and I’m known to cry over the stupidest things, ie. News, movies, sometimes just talking to people. It does not mean I’m sad, I just care.
Who is Saiqa?
Outside of work, I’m someone who really values the things that bring balance and joy to life: reading, hiking, travelling whenever I can, and spending quality time with friends and family. I love visiting friends abroad and experiencing different places and cultures, and I’m also happiest in the kitchen experimenting with cooking and adding Asian and Middle Eastern twists to dishes from different cultures. For me, those moments of connection, whether through travel, food, or simply spending time with people who matter, are incredibly important.
Professionally, I’m a Compliance Manager at Nochex (part of PAYSTRAX), working in an industry where integrity, accountability and sound judgement are essential. Compliance isn’t just about rules, it’s about asking the right questions, challenging assumptions, and helping organisations do the right thing. It’s rewarding to play a role in shaping responsible businesses, and it’s inspiring to see more talented, capable women stepping into leadership and influencing the future of our industry.
I’m also one of four sisters and was raised by an incredibly inspiring mum, which meant growing up surrounded by strong women. From them, I learned some of the most important lessons in life – resilience, independence, kindness, and the importance of always supporting and celebrating other women.
And then there’s my daughter. Having her makes the conversation around women’s empowerment even more meaningful. Because every step forward for women today helps shape the world she will grow up in tomorrow. I want her to see women leading companies, influencing industries, and pursuing their ambitions with confidence – and to grow up knowing that those spaces belong to her too.
If she learns anything from watching me, I hope it’s that confidence, curiosity and integrity will always take her far, and that no ambition should ever feel out of reach.
Who is Justina?
Probably someone who has never taken a very straight road in life. I started in art school, later tried applied maths – that didn’t end well, I dropped out and eventually graduated in finance. Worked in logistics, didn’t like it, so I started to study programming… and somehow all those different turns led me to fintech, where I now work as an Underwriting Manager at PAYSTRAX. Looking back, it might seem a bit chaotic, but I like my life as an American rollercoaster rather than smooth sailing.
Outside of work, I’m happiest moving, exploring, or being somewhere close to nature. You might find me in the gym kickboxing, on my motorcycle, or running away from ticks in forests with my dog.
I guess Justina is that adult who is still riding American rollercoasters and screaming along the way, not always from excitement 😉
Who is Miah?
I’d describe myself as a homebody. I love reading, chilling with my fat cat, and spending time with my boyfriend and family. Despite being an introvert, my favourite part of my job is talking to my colleagues and stakeholders and making meaningful connections. I love memes, video games, and nerdy movies like the Lord of the Rings.
I make leather goods as a hobby and spend time as a volunteer for a local youth group. Working at PAYSTRAX is great because I get to be my nerdy self, sharing Dungeons & Dragons-style training sessions regularly.
Something I’m really proud of is that I recently finished treatment for thyroid cancer, and I’m excited to continue growing with the company who supported me through it.
Who is Kristina?
I’m the Office Manager and Secretary to the Board at PAYSTRAX. My role involves supporting different parts of the company and helping things run smoothly behind the scenes. I enjoy the variety that comes with it and that no two days ever look quite the same.
Outside of work, I recharge in nature. I love hiking and have a special place in my heart for the mountains. They always inspire me and help me clear my mind and reset.
I also believe that even small actions can make a real difference. That’s one of the reasons I’ve donated blood more than 25 times so far – it’s a simple way to help others and something that means a lot to me.
