PAYSTRAX was named Highly Commended in the Best Employer Award category at the Europe FinTech Awards 2026 ceremony in London on 25 June.
The Europe FinTech Awards celebrate the achievements of companies and individuals shaping Europe’s fintech community. This year, PAYSTRAX was shortlisted in three categories: Best Employer Award, Disruptor of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year for our co-founder and Group CEO, Jóhannes Ingi Kolbeinsson.
Being Highly Commended for Best Employer means a lot to us, because this category comes back to the people behind PAYSTRAX – our teams across Europe who build the culture, support each other and put in the work, helping us deliver excellence to our clients and partners every day.
Since the start of 2024, PAYSTRAX has grown by 58%, reaching more than 150 employees across six offices in Vilnius, Klaipėda, London, Leeds, Malta and Reykjavík. In 2025, we also acquired Nochex (one of the UK’s first online payment service providers), opened a new London office and moved our growing Lithuanian teams into larger spaces.
Building great payment solutions starts with building a great team. As we’ve grown, we’ve worked to create an environment where people can learn, take ownership and build long-term careers, not just fill roles. We’ve invested in culture, in development and in being the kind of workplace talented people actively choose to join.
