Great teamwork is a key success factor in every great company. To make it work, getting to know each of our coworkers is crucial. That’s why every year we host a teambuilding event for all employees – KickOff! Throughout the year, PAYSTRAX has grown rapidly across various sectors. As we celebrate our achievements and set our sights even higher, our KickOff this year draws inspiration from the Olympic Games and their motivating slogan: ‘Citius, Altius, Fortius’ – aiming for faster growth, higher goals, and stronger performance. The teambuilding event took place for two days, which were packed with engaging activities and initiatives.
First day of KickOff’23
The first day started with our CEO Jóhannes Ingi Kolbeinsson’s session, introducing (or for some, reminding) the company’s strategy, values and goals. Every employee had an opportunity to share their ideas on how to reach our objectives and what can improve work quality in different ways. After lunch, the values session started led by guest professional trainer. During various workshops employees shared their own values with each other and bonded on a more personal level. The first PAYSTRAX teambuilding event day culminated in creating relationships between employees and evaluating both company and personal values.
As the first day drew to a close, some of our PAYSTRAX team members took the opportunity to engage in acts of kindness, emphasizing our commitment to social responsibility and adding even more meaning to the event. We visited “Tautmile” dog shelter and helped them with dog walking. It was a great way to end the first day, surrounded by lovely dogs and their inspiring energy.
Second day with continuous activities
The second KickOff day at PAYSTRAX started in a more creative manner. Split into teams, employees created paintings that represented company’s values. Each painting referred to a different value and how employees of PAYSTRAX it imagines. A lot of new talents among employees were discovered!
After lunch, the teambuilding moved to a homestead outside Vilnius city. At the homestead, PAYSTRAX truly fulfilled the Olympic slogan and went on an active scavenger hunt in the forest around the homestead. After the activities, winning teams were nominated and congratulated. Along with that, we held an award ceremony for our internal walking challenge. The team and the person who made most steps during the summer was rewarded with great gifts, encouraging them to continue moving.
After all the ceremonies, employees enjoyed their free time, which included ping pong, basketball, dancing, swimming in the lake, and other activities. This event was a great way to connect employees outside the work environment. Furthermore, it allowed employees to understand the company and everyone’s responsibilities much better.
