PAYSTRAX has been in Klaipėda since 2022. Back then we were a small team, but growth has been steady ever since: new people joining, new roles opening up, new products in the works. At some point, the old office just stopped keeping up, which is a good problem to have, but still a sign that it was time for a new space.
And not just a little more. With plans to hire up to 75 new specialists this year and up to 150 over the next three years across Vilnius and Klaipėda, it became clear that growth needed the right environment around it. So we found a new home in the historic Sendvario complex in the heart of Klaipėda, that gives our team room to breathe and more room to keep growing.
Recently, we marked the new office opening with a proper party!
Opening new doors the PAYSTRAX way
We invited colleagues, partners and our neighbours in the building to celebrate together. It was important for us to share the moment not only with the people inside the company, but also with the people around us.
The evening started with a few words from our co-founder and Group CEO Johannes Ingi Kolbeinsson and Group CCO Bjarni Thor Sigurdsson, who reflected on what Klaipėda means to PAYSTRAX and where we’re heading next. Then we marked the official opening by cutting the ribbon, which is somehow always more satisfying than it has any right to be.
After that, the event turned into exactly what a good office opening should be. People mingling, laughing, catching up, enjoying snacks and music and, of course, dancing. The kind of evening where you look around and feel proud of the team you’ve built and the people you get to build with.
A space built for what’s ahead
The new office is also a significant step up. It’s open, bright and designed with the team in mind. There is room to focus, room to collaborate, room to grow into and in the kind of space that makes people want to come in every day. It’s also in a building with a lot of history and character, which we think suits PAYSTRAX.
But this space will not stay quiet for long. PAYSTRAX continues to hire across IT, operations, account management and marketing. The new office is there to support what comes next, not just to look good in pictures. Our team here plays an important role in shaping what the company becomes next, and this new office reflects that.
And we’re only getting started, so here’s to what comes next!
