Pricing

What is the difference between IC++ and blended pricing for high-volume merchants?

Blended pricing charges one flat rate across every transaction, regardless of card type or scheme fee – simple. IC++ (interchange++) breaks the cost into three visible parts – interchange fee, scheme fee, and the acquirer’s own markup – so merchants see exactly what they’re paying for. For high-volume merchants, that transparency usually adds up to real savings.

How quickly will I get my pricing?

The answer on pricing depends on various details about your business and the information provided. If our team has all the information needed for assessment and proposal preparation, it may take up to a few days.

What is a payment gateway fee?

A payment gateway is a technology platform that enables businesses to securely accept and process payments from customers, acting as a bridge between the merchant and financial institutions. It encrypts and transmits payment information, conducts fraud checks, and facilitates various payment methods. To use the gateway and its services, a small fee is charged per transaction.

What is a chargeback, and how can merchants reduce them?

A chargeback happens when a customer disputes a transaction with their bank and the funds are pulled back from the merchant – often used for fraud, but also for delivery issues or simple buyer’s remorse. Merchants can reduce them with clear billing descriptors, responsive customer service, 3D Secure authentication, and delivery confirmation – and PAYSTRAX’s fraud monitoring flags suspicious transactions before they turn into disputes in the first place.

What is the difference between blended pricing and IC++?

Blended pricing combines all transaction fees into a single rate, while Interchange-Plus (IC++) pricing separates interchange fees and processor mark-ups. Blended pricing offers simplicity, while IC++ pricing provides transparency and cost analysis. Choose based on your business needs and fee management capabilities.

How is the price set?

Pricing for each merchant is set individually. It depends on average transaction size, transaction volumes, currencies, card types and other specific solutions for your business.
